Get Your Life 2020: Episode 6 With Kuukua Eshun // What It Means To Be A Space Taker
Welcome to Episode 6 of the Get Your Life 2020 series! This week I’m on my trusted white couch with the ethereal Kuukua Eshun. Let me tell you, sis was serving CELESTIAL vibes this entire shoot!
Kuukua Eshun is a Ghanaian-American creative who splits her time between Ohio and Accra. She's a multi award-winning filmmaker who is inspired by emotions and femininity. Her film “Artist: An Act of Love” recently won an award at the worldwide Women’s Films Festival for Best Visual Effect.
Artist: An Act of Love delves into the process of what love looks like and explores the complexities of home and the many forms it takes for a lover. What does it mean to pledge allegiance to a nation, a person, a point in time, or the self?
Kuukua is a powerhouse and and full time SPACE TAKER.
But do you really know what it means to "take up space?" or what someone means by calling another person a "space taker"?
Here's my definition: To take up space or become a space taker means that you unapologetically show up as your FULL self.
Often we limit how we show up by shrinking some aspect of ourselves because we fear that we are not good enough or that our expansion will offend someone.
In today’s video, you will learn exactly what it means to take up space and why it is important to lend space to others.
